CCTV: Two men wanted in relation to bike theft at Leominster railway station
CCTV of two men wanted in connection with a bike theft from a railway station has been released by police.
British Transport Police have released images of the men in the hope that members of the public might be able to identify them.
The men were at Leominster railway station on the day a 16-year-old boy discovered his bike had gone after he left it locked it to the cycle racks on platform one on October 19.
PC Craig Farrell said: "As a result of our investigations so far, we have managed to identify two men we believe may have key information in connection to this incident.
"They both arrived at the station at 4.25pm before leaving together 10 minutes later. Who are they?"
The bike is described as a black GT Aggressor mountain bike and a helmet fixed to the lock was found to be gone also.
PC Farrell added: "There are lots of things people can do to lessen their chances of becoming a victim of bike theft, like ensuring their property is adequately marked and secured, which makes it much easier to identify and therefore helps reduce the risk of theft.
"BTP officers regularly conduct cycle crime awareness surgeries at stations to offer crime prevention advice.
"We also undertake plain clothes and high profile operations to catch thieves in the act. Thieves should also be aware that most cycle racks are covered by CCTV, so it's only a matter of time before we track them down.
"We are working closely with cycle and second-hand shops and are monitoring online auction and advertising sites to make it more difficult for thieves to sell on stolen property."
Anyone with information on the two men can call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 quoting WSUB/B3 of November 5.
