The school benefits from excellent grounds and spacious accommodation inside, having previously been two schools. It has two large halls enabling them to have a sports hall and a music hall.

Music is a particular strength of the school as it has its own dedicated music teacher.

As well as teaching curriculum music to every class, Mrs Allen-Brown offers an excellent range of clubs for children including guitar, ukulele keyboard and singing clubs and the school regularly takes part in local music events.

The school also has a good range of sports clubs including Jonny Hughes Coaching.

Grange Primary is a 'rapidly improving' school as recognised by Ofsted in January 2015. Results over the last three years have improved significantly and will continue to do so.

Ofsted recognised the following strengths of the school: 'Pupils feel safe and well cared for….The behaviour of pupils is good. Pupils enjoy school. Their good attitudes are having a positive impact on their learning and contribute to their improving rates of progress. Teachers and other adults build positive relationships with pupils. Classrooms are bright and well organised'.

Pupils can start the EYFS (nursery) at Grange Primary the term after they turn three.

They can claim their free 15 hours as whole days or half days.

From January 2016 parents will be able to purchase additional sessions. In the September after a child's fourth birthday they are able to start full-time education in one of the EYFS reception classes.

The EYFS department at the school has an excellent outdoor space and has been fully refurbished internally within the last six years. Ofsted noted that 'the early years leader has created a culture where children receive a warm welcome in the school and soon feel safe and happy'.

The school also offers a breakfast club for pupils from reception upwards. This runs from 8am until the start of school at a cost of £2 per day. Ofsted recognised this as a strength of the school stating: 'The breakfast club provides a good start to the day and is a valuable resource for parents and pupils'.
