Shrewsbury town centre crash causes rush-hour traffic
Traffic backed up on a main Shrewsbury town centre road after a lorry collided with a lamppost.

Smithfield Road in Shrewsbury was partially blocked this morning between the junctions for Bridge Street and Roushill, near the Welsh Bridge, with traffic slow as authorities make the scene safe.
The crash happened at about 6.30am.
Inspector Helen Thomas, speaking for West Mercia Police said: "A lorry reversed and knocked a lamppost. Shropshire Council highways department are on the scene dealing with damage to the street furniture."
