Flood warnings for Shropshire and Mid Wales border
Flood warnings have been put in place for parts of the Shropshire border with Mid Wales as rain continues to hit the region.
Gauge information for Llanymynech, Maesbrook, Cae Howel and Crew Green show a rise in levels as the Severn Vyrnwy Confluence begins to respond to recent heavy rain in Wales.
An orange flood alert, meaning be prepared for some flooding, has been put in place for homes in areas near to Oswestry.
At 1pm today the level at the Llanymynech Gauge was 2.18 metres and falling. A peak level of between 3.0 and 3.4 metres is expected to occur overnight.
The level at the Maesbrook Gauge was 0.09 metres and steady while the level at the Cae Howel Gauge was 1.41 metres and the level at the Crew Green Gauge was 3.17 metres and rising. A peak level of between 4.5 and 5.0 metres is expected to occur tomorrow morning.
