Paramedic helps Shropshire drivers after coming across crash
Being half an hour late for your shift doesn't usually go down well, but one paramedic had a good excuse this weekend after coming across a two car collision.
The accident happened at the junction of the Ludlow Road and Vaughan Road in Cleobury Mortimer at around 6.15pm on Sunday.
An ambulance was sent to the scene, but no one was seriously injured or required hospital treatment.
Claire Brown spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "The paramedic was heading to Stourport for his night shift when he came across two cars which had collided.
"After a quick assessment of the patients, the paramedic called 999 to requested an ambulance and advised our control room that he would be delayed starting his shift.
"The driver of one car, a woman in her 20s, escaped with minor leg injuries.
"A man and a woman in their 30s from the second car were said to be walking wounded.
"All three were given treatment by the paramedic and ambulance crew but didn't require hospital treatment.
"Once clear from the incident, the paramedic continued his journey to work."
