Sarah, of Shawbirch, handed over control to her partner of four years Jack during the show and, after three frantic weeks of planning without any contact with each other, the couple were married in her husband's hometown of Burton-on-Trent.

A venue above The Ritz World Buffet was transformed for the wedding and reception, look-a-like celebrities including Pavarotti and Simon Cowell entertained guests and and 22-year-old Jack performed his first ever optical illusion that saw his wife float in mid air.

Fifty guests joined the pair for the wedding ceremony on August 12 while another 150 guests joined them for the evening reception.

Sarah, who is studying primary education at the University of Derby but returned to Telford as Jack planned the wedding, said: "He hadn't really planned an event like that before but he did amazing.

"He thought about every element. He had three weeks to plan it all.

"I always thought he is a magician so I didn't know what to expect. I had hoped he would put it aside but it was a bit of a different touch," she added.

Another surprise awaited 20-year-old Sarah when Jack organised for members of Cadwaladr School of Dance, in Wellington, to perform on the day.

The former Thomas Telford School pupil, who was previously Sarah Robinson, had been a member of the dance school since the age of five.

The couple met on the Thomson Dream cruise ship, in the Mediterranean Sea, when they were on holiday with their families in 2011.

Sarah said: "We just got chatting.

"Everyone said it was a holiday romance and it wouldn't last but here we are."

Jack, who spent nearly £12,000 on the wedding, said: "To have the responsibility and the opportunity to plan a wedding is both very exciting and nervous at the same time.

"It was a lot of fun to do.

"The only stressful part of it for me was trying to sort the bridesmaids dresses out."

He said that even though much of their relationship has been long distance, with Sarah in Telford or Derby and Jack in Burton, it was hard being away from her for three weeks.

"When I saw Sarah for the first time after spending three weeks apart, the emotion hit," he added.

"We really want to thank family, friends and everyone who got involved in the wedding.

"When Sarah finishes university we want to move in together and we can't wait to have children."
