Man attacked near Wellington nightclub
A man was attacked in the street in an assault that left him needing hospital treatment, police have revealed.
Police have issued an appeal for information about the assault, which happened in the street near Pussycats nightclub in Tan Bank, Wellington, after the victim and a friend left the club when it was closing.
The victim, a man his 20s, was then attacked by two men. He was left with lacerations to his face and was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford.
Terri-Anne Powell, spokeswoman for West Mercia Police, said: "The pair left the club at approximately 3.15am, when the club was beginning to close.
"Between 3.15am and 4am, the victim's friend was stood outside smoking when he noticed the victim was being assaulted by two men. Both men were described as white and tall.
"Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident."
The attack happened on October 25. Call police on 101 quoting incident reference number 135s of October 25.
