Fire crews tackle Telford shed blaze

Fire crews were sent out to tackle a blaze in a large shed in Telford.

The fire happened today at about 9.30am this morning on Chapel Row, in Horton.

Two crews from Telford Central and Wellington were sent to the scene.

It took the fire service around half an hour to bring the fire under control.

A spokeswoman, for Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a fire involving a single storey large detached garage.

"Approximately 20 per cent fire and heat damage and 100 per cent smoke damage.

"The building has solar panels which have been isolated.

"Crews used breaking in tools to gain access and a thermal image camera, breathing apparatus and positive pressure ventilation were also in use."
