Video and pictures: Male voice choir sings at Telford supermarket
Shoppers at a Shropshire supermarket were getting into the festive spirit as they were treated to a performance by a choir.
Around 50 members of the Hadley Orpheus Male Voice Choir performed at Asda in Donnington, Telford on Monday night, helping to raise money for charity.
The choir performed to help raise money for The Rotary Club of Wrekin's two charities, Home Start and No Panic.
They performed a number of Christmas carols, such as Hark The Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night and O Little Town of Bethlehem.
Chris Mansell, choir vice chairman, said he hoped it would bring a bit of festive cheer to people in the store.
"This is our second year coming here at Christmas, and we hope to get everyone in the festive spirit," he said.
"We are also raising money for the two charities of the Rotary Club of the Wrekin.
"We sang a range of different Christmas carols and we hope everyone in the store enjoyed our two and half hour performance.
"We would also like to say a huge thank you to Asda Donnington as when we arrived they had got everything set up for us."
The choir performed in the cafe and it is believed they raised around £500, which will be split between the charities.
Robyn Davies, musical director of the choir also praised Asda Donnington for its support over the year.
"We came here and performed as part of the store's Tickled Pink campaign," she said.
"And the community champion for the store, June Walker invited us back for this performance - of course we were delighted.
"We performed for free, because if it is for charity, so any concerts we do for a charitable cause, we do not charge.
"However, people were more than welcome to make a donation during the performance."
Over the past year the Hadley Orpheus Male Voice Choir has raised more than £10,000 for a number of charities.
And from next year the rotary club and the choir will join forces to help raise more funds.
