Spate of Christmas Day crashes in Shropshire

Emergency services were kept busy on Christmas Day after a number of car accidents.

The first accident was reported at 10.33am on the A41 in Prees Heath, Whitchurch.

Fire crews were sent out to reports of a car that had the left the carriageway.

A crew from Whitchurch made the area safe and left the scene at 10.45am.

Another report came in at 11.37am of one car being involved in an accident in Manor Heights, Hadley, Telford.

A crew from Wellington was sent to the scene, where they made the area safe.

No-one was trapped in the car. Fire crews left the scene at 11.50am.

Another accident was also reported on the M54 at junction 5 for Telford at about 1pm.

The road was blocked for a short while while the area was made safe.
