Cannabis farm found after Shifnal house raided

A cannabis farm was found at a house in Shifnal after police were tipped off by the community.

The house on Admiral Close in Shifnal was raided by police yesterday morning, where they seized 16 plants as well as the equipment used to grow the drugs.

The cannabis farm was found in an upstairs bedroom in the house.

However, no-one was at home during the raid and no arrests were made. Officers are now searching for the person behind the farm in Shifnal.

Pc Matt Picken said: "We gained a drugs warrant after members of the community were concerned about activity at the house.

"When we carried out the raid we seized an excess of 16 plants, as well as the equipment.

"No one has been arrested following the raid but enquires continue.

"We were able to carry out the raid yesterday morning after people in the area were concerned about activity at the house.

"We would also ask people who are also concerned about suspicious activity to get in contact with the police."
