Main route between Shrewsbury and Ellesmere to close for two weeks work
A main route between Shrewsbury and Ellesmere will be closed for two weeks while the road is resurfaced.
Shropshire Council will carry out the work along part of the A528 – the main road between Ellesmere and Shrewsbury – from Monday.
The road will be closed from the turn-off for Colemere to the junction with the A495 until January 25 from 8am until 5pm each day.
A notice published by Shropshire Council said it is proposed that the road will be temporarily reopened over weekends.
Advance information signs with a contact number for more detailed information will be in place next week.
Meanwhile the B4397 between Ruyton-XI-Towns and Baschurch will be closed from January 20 until 31. Shropshire Council will close the road from 9.30am until 3pm for resurfacing work.
