Girl, 11, injured in Telford hit and run
A young girl was left injured after being involved in a hit and run in Telford, police have said.
The 11-year-old was hit as she crossed Victoria Road near the High Street in Wellington.
The accident happened at about 4.40pm yesterday.
It is reported the car was in collision with the girl, which left her injured - however she did not require hospital treatment.
The vehicle did not stop and is thought to have travelled in the direction of King Street.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of a grey/silver Renault Megane in connection with the incident.
PC Richard Gurmin, the investigating officer, said: "We are taking this incident very seriously and are eager to hear from anyone who saw this take place.
"The young girl could have easily been injured to a much greater extent."
