Shropshire village care home and housing plan withdrawn
Plans to build a 70-bed care home and a 27-home estate in a Shropshire village have been withdrawn.

Plans for the development in Whitchurch Road, Prees, were withdrawn by developers Hawk Homes Limited.
No reason has been given for the plans being dropped, but the size of the housing development had been reduced by four homes after a backlash from Prees Parish Council and villagers.
A spokeswoman for the applicant Hawk Homes Limited said they did not wish to comment on the plans or say the reasons why the application was withdrawn.
