Several campers and caravans have been on the site of the former Stormy Petrel pub off the A41 Tern Hill, near Market Drayton since the weekend.

Police say the land is private and the owner has been informed.

The building was closed back in August 2010 when it was sold for £295,000 to developers who were hoping to convert it into a hotel.

However, it was put back on the market in September 2012.

The pub was once a popular haunt for bikers who used the car park for meets.
