The accident, which happened at about 11am, has blocked a country road at Seifton, to the east of Craven Arms.

The B4365 is closed between the B4368 Corvedale Road and the junction with Clay Lane.

Andy Keyland, Shropshire Council's highways manager for south-west Shropshire, said this afternoon: "A short section of the B4365 remains closed and will do until midday tomorrow. Diversion route is via Clay Lane and the B4368.

"The lorry that has overturned requires a crane to enable recovery which is en route now.

"The lorry is likely to be recovered sometime tonight; however, due to the extensive clean-up operation and the need to grit the road due to the sub-zero temperatures, the road will remain closed.

"We will require the morning and some daylight hours to clean up and ensure that the road is safe for road users."

Traffic is being diverted down Clay Lane. Fire crews were called to make the vehicle safe, but the driver of the lorry was uninjured.
