Block 19 is a group of six Shrewsbury Town fans made up of two separate bands – Goodbye Ohio and The One Hit Wonders.

Following Shrewsbury's glamour draw against Manchester United they set about working on their own tune – Floreat Salopia – which is featured on the Shrewsbury Town badge and translates as "may Shrewsbury flourish".

The band, made up of Chris Allen, Adam Knight, "Dunny Boy", Guy Phillips, Paul Jupp and Ian Fourie, said they had been delighted with the feedback they had received since launching the song.

Mr Allen said: "It has all been really positive. It is an original song as well and it is pretty catchy. There is a nice pace to it.

"We were really pleased with it and the way it has come out. It's been played on the radio a few times too so that's great.

"We have been told that they might be able to play it at the ground before the game and that would fantastic."

Mr Allen said the band are looking forward to taking their places to cheer on the team come next Monday.

He said: "This is definitely the biggest game we have had. We have had big games before, like cup quarter finals with Manchester City, but football is such a global game now and Manchester United are one of the biggest teams out there.

"I think the atmosphere will be fantastic.

"It will be a sell-out and I think the way they distributed tickets makes sure the real fans will be able to get behind the team. It should be a cracking night."

Mr Allen said he is also hoping that Town can catch Manchester United on an off night and secure a famous cup upset.

He said: "I think we have got new players in the team starting to gel and recent performances, even though they have not had the results, have been good.

"If Manchester United are not on top of their game then we have a good chance."
