Police 'very concerned' for woman seen being forced into car near Shrewsbury
Police say they are "very concerned" about a young woman seen being forced into a car by a man near Shrewsbury today.
The woman, in her late teens or early 20s, was seen being forced into a small blue car, of a similar size to a Vauxhall Corsa or Honda Jazz, at Brookfield, Minsterley, at around 2.50pm.
Officers have confirmed that nobody has been reported missing in connection with the incident.
Inspector Rebecca Bishop said they are keen to speak to the woman involved, or anyone else who witnessed what happened.
She said: "One of the lines of inquiry we are following is that the people involved may be known to each other. However, we remain very concerned for the welfare of the woman and would continue to appeal for anyone with information to contact us. We would also appeal for the woman to contact us to let us know if she is alright; even if she doesn't want to make a formal complaint regarding the incident. We are keen to know she is safe and well."
The woman is described as white, in her late teens or early 20s, of slim build with brown, curly hair to her jaw line.
She was wearing denim trousers, a pink padded jacket, and orange trainers.
The man who was driving the car is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5ft 8in tall, of large build, with dark short hair.
He was wearing a navy shirt and denim trousers.
Police are appealing for anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 101 quoting incident 405s of 27 February 2016.
