Two taken to hospital after car crashes into wall in Shifnal
Two men have to be taken to hospital after the car they were in crashed into a wall in Shifnal this morning.
The crash happened on Upton Lane, with one of the men being freed from the car by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The passenger, believed to in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with a suspected broken leg.
The driver of the car managed to get himself out of the car, but was also taken to hospital.
Both men were taken by land ambulance.
Chris Kowalik, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "There were two men in the car which had collided with a wall.
"The passenger had to be freed with the help of the fire service.
"He had a suspected broken leg which was treated at the scene.
"He was then taken by land ambulance to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
"His driver, who had managed to get out of the car himself, had minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital, again by land ambulance."
Two ambulance crews, the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford and three rapid response vehicles were sent to the scene shortly after the accident at 9.50am.
Two fire crews from Telford Central were also at the scene, along with West Mercia Police.
