Deer found shot in woodland on Shropshire border

A deer was found shot dead in woodland on the south Shropshire border.

Forestry Commission workers discovered the animal on Monday morning in the Far Forest area, near Cleobury Mortimer.

PCSO Shelley Hyde of West Mercia Police said a report of deer poaching had been received and confirmed an animal had been shot.
