In pictures: Bikers deliver 1,500 Easter eggs to children at Shropshire hospitals
[gallery] A group of bikers turned into Easter bunnies for the day to deliver more than 1,500 Easter eggs to sick children at Shropshire hospitals.
More than 150 bikers, from the Raven Riders, rode from Lynn's Raven Cafe at Prees, near Whitchurch, to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and then onto the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford on Saturday.
The bikers delivered hundreds of Easter eggs - donated by the Raven Riders, their families and friends, Shrewsbury College and the Royal Oak at Ellerdine.
Barrie Walters, organiser of the event, said: "We are a group of motorcyclists who get together each week and enjoy doing our bit for charity.
"Easter is an exciting time for children and we wanted to do our bit in bringing a smile to faces of those children in hospital over the Easter period.
"It has been a superb day and we have had about 150 bikers including 12 Blood Bikes.
"We have delivered more than 1,500 Easter eggs which is amazing.
"We started last year with about a dozen bikes and now it has grown to this size. It is great to get so much support.
"There was a lovely atmosphere - with quite a few of the bikers dressing up as Easter bunnies.
"Not only have we delivered more than 1,500 Easter eggs, we are also donating any donations received on the day to The Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes.
"The biking community are a generous bunch of people and want to donate as part of the event.
"We are great supporters of the voluntary work done by the Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes, so any money received on the day will help them continue their work with local hospitals."
The Raven Riders started as a group of half a dozen friends with a love of motorbikes a couple of years ago.
They now have 700 members who meet at the Raven Cafe at Prees every Thursday evening.
Throughout the year they do charity events for the Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes.
They also deliver presents to children in hospital at Christmas.
