Attacker put 'rope' around woman's neck during Telford assault

A man put rope, or some other ligature, around a woman's neck during an assault in Telford.

The victim, who is in her 20s, was assaulted in Church Street, Madeley, and escaped after her attacker was disturbed by a house light being switched on, he left in the direction of Mill Street.

The victim sustained slight injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as a black man, around 5ft 11", large build, with a black beard and moustache.

At the time of the attack, 9pm on March 29, he was wearing a black hoody and black trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 784 of March 29.
