A missing person listing on the Lucie Blackman Trust website says that Harry Corder Greaves, from the Oswestry area, was last seen on April 9, his 29th birthday, when he told friends he wished to spend the day by himself on a mountain.

His mum and his cousin have flown out to Peru to help in the search.

They expected to see him the next day, but he didn't appear. He has not been seen since.

It is believed Harry is a former Leeds student originally from the High Wycombe area who made furniture in the Oswestry area for his own company Marcher Furniture and also Wrexham company Silverlining Furniture.

Harry's sister Ellen Greaves, who is living in Bristol but from Bronygarth, said they felt hopeful now family members were out in South America.

She said: "We're just hoping today's the day we hear something. We only found out on Thursday that he was missing, so by that time he'd already been gone a week, so we had to act right away.

"His friends over there have been to the area he was in and searched themselves but now a much more thorough search is underway, with local people helping, as well as a helicopter and mountain rescue.

"I'm fairly positive that we'll have some news soon, it's always changing but I'm more positive now that mum and Lucy (Harry's cousin) are out there."

Under his missing profile on the Lucie Blackman Trust website, which supports British nationals in crisis overseas, it says Harry flew to Peru on February 20.

He was travelling there whilst visiting friends in Pisac, near Coscou.

He attended a permaculture course before heading into the jungle with a group. He sent two very positive and happy emails home and seemed to be enjoying his time there.

It reads: "Harry does often desire to travel alone and he is very practical, self-reliant and used to outward bound activities. He set out with full travelling kit including tent and sleeping bag. However a thorough search of the area he intended to visit has been made without success.

"Whilst it may be that he decided to explore another area than previously planned, concern is mounting for Harry's safety and well-being."
