The family of 32-year-old Michael Healey, who died from serious injuries after the crash near Tenbury Wells last week, say they will miss his sense of humour, distinctive sayings and "Wallace" smile – like the well-loved character from "Wallace and Gromit".

Mr Healey, from Leominster, and his fiancee, 25-year-old Beky Stuchbery, were cut from the wreckage of their car after it was in a head-on collision with a lorry on the A443 at Lindridge near the south Shropshire border at about 6.30am on April 14.

Mr Healey was airlifted to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital but died later that day.

Miss Stuchbery, who was driving, suffered abdominal and pelvic injuries, as well as injuries to her face, and remains in a stable condition.

Mr Healey leaves behind his mum Carol Jones, sister Tracey Austin, and dad Martin Healey, who described his son as a "legend".

In a statement the family said: "He touched so many people in this town."
