The restaurant, on Old Potts Way, takes the place of The Beaten Track pub and re-opened to diners last week.

The opening followed a six-week closure while the renovation work and recruitment drive was undertaken. The new restaurant can seat more than 160 diners.

It has been refurbished as part of the Mitchells & Butlers' acquisition of 173 Orchid sites in 2014. General managers Neal and Terri Stockham, said they had received a positive response from those who have visited the restaurant so far.

Mr Stockham said: "Bringing a new Harvester to Shrewsbury is really exciting for the whole team and guests have been very complimentary about the restaurant since it opened.

"We want to create a destination restaurant for feel-good dining."
