Staff needed in Shropshire as care firms merge
A care firm that looks after elderly people in Shropshire has merged with another in the region.
Teme Valley Care, based in Tenbury Wells on the Shropshire border, has joined forces with Eclipse HomeCare, with plans to expand the service into town such as Ludlow and Leominster.
Both companies provide care to the elderly that allows them to remain in their homes at less cost than a residential home.
Chris Martyn-Smith, a director of Eclipse HomeCare, said: "We have been talking to the owners of Teme Valley Care for some time.
"They have such an excellent team of care-givers and we are delighted that the two businesses have now joined forces.
"There will hardly be any changes because the team is already doing such an excellent job.
"All we will want to do is recruit more staff so we can expand the service into Ludlow, Bromyard and Leominster," he said.
