Overnight closures for essential works on A49 in Shropshire
One of Shropshire's busiest roads will be partially closed to traffic for a month while essential works are carried out.
The overnight work is due to start on the A49 at Stapleton to Condover on June 20 and will be completed by July 22.
The road will be closed between 8pm and 6am and diversions will be in place.
There will be a 40mph daytime speed restriction from the existing 50mph gateway just north of Limes Paddock at Dorrington, to the end of the layby area on the northbound side of the road between Little Lyth and Bayston Hill.
The road will be closed approximately 400 metres south of the Bridge Inn at the Bulkright turn and at the Condover turn to the south of Bayston Hill.
Side roads and junctions throughout the closure area will be restricted during working hours, although residents and businesses will be able to access their properties.
