Jailed: 'Dangerous' Leominster sex offender gets 12 years for abusing girls
A Leominster man has been jailed for 12 years for child sex offences including rape.
Brian Davies of High Street, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for 18 counts of non-recent sexual offences in which he abused two girls, aged between six and eleven, over a seven-and-a-half-year period.
The 26-year-old appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Thursday to be sentenced after a jury returned a guilty verdict.
Davies is also subject to a 16 year sexual harm prevention order and will have to register as a sex offender for life.
He was sentenced for one count of causing a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, one count of indecent assault and 14 counts of rape of a child.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Terri Booth said: "Davies preyed upon the vulnerability of his victims and this sentence is testament to their courage which has resulted in an extremely dangerous sex offender being brought to justice. He abused his victims in a sustained and organised manner over a long period of time.
"The bravery of the victims in coming forward, reporting these horrific crimes and supporting our investigation cannot be underestimated. I hope that this sentence will go some way to bringing closure to these events.
"West Mercia Police will relentlessly pursue those who perpetrate sexual crimes against anyone and especially against children, no matter when these offences occurred. You will be supported and we will do everything we can to bring offenders before the courts."
