BINGO! Telford players pick up £60,000 in prizes
Bingo players at a single club in Shropshire have picked up a grand total of £60,000 in little more than a week.
Four bingo players from Telford have taken home the combined payout after striking lucky.
Now the manager of the club is throwing a party to allow every player to celebrate their good fortune.
Two players took home £20,000 each playing the National Game on consecutive nights at Globe Bingo in Donnington.
Sandra Arnold called house on 44 numbers on Tuesday evening's National Game.
Recently retired from Market Drayton, Sandra is sharing her winnings with her two bingo buddies, one of whom is a long-standing friend. The pair have shared their bingo fortunes for more than 10 years.
She said: "I am the banker. My friends were spending the cash before we knew the results. We're over the moon with the news."
The day before another lucky customer, who wishes to be nameless, won the prize and said it couldn't come at a better time as she and her partner have a child on the way.
And the good luck doesn't stop there.
The previous Thursday, Globe bingo were celebrating a £14,500 win on the National Live whilst the following day a customer took home £8,100 after playing the company's Majestic Bonus Game.
A party night is being held on July 24 to celebrate all four recent wins.
All customers will receive a box of Thornton's chocolates and small bottle of bubbly courtesy of The National Game who are supporting the event.
The club's general manager Francis Gillard, said "I am delighted for all our recent big winners.
"To have four big wins in five days is quite something.
"The atmosphere was electric when the amounts were confirmed and it was great to see our customers congratulating our lucky winners."
