Anam Sultana was driving her six-year-old son and sister to Hoo Farm, on the outskirts of Telford, when they got reached a dead end, tried to reverse and landed in a ditch.

A nearby wedding party came to the rescue and hauled the car out of the ditch in their best clothes.

Miss Sultana, from Wellington, took to Facebook to share thank the strangers and her status has been shared more than 270 times by people all over the country.

The 25-year-old said: "It was the scariest moment of my life, being stranded in a place where no one was in sight with my little man and my sister." Then out of the blue came three men to help.

Miss Sultana said: "They checked my car and said they wouldn't be able to tow it because I had nowhere to hook and they said I need professional help. I said thank you for your help anyway and they left."

Moments later the men appeared with a car full of more men ready to help.

Miss Sultana said: "Without saying a word they started pushing my car out of the ditch with one of them driving it. I just couldn't believe it.

"It was really quite muddy but they still came and helped. They told me they had been to a wedding nearby on a field with tents which I drove past earlier. They all left a wedding in the middle with their nice clothes on and came to help me. I've never come across such nice people."

The wedding was near Kynnersley.
