Anuko the husky: Meet the grumpy faced Shropshire sensation who has taken the internet by storm
Her dog's grumpy face has made her a superstar on social media, but the hugely popular pooch has meant more than fame for Jasmine Milton.
The 20-year-old from Telford has raised £20,000 through two-year-old Siberian husky Anuko, which she plans to use to kickstart her medical career.
Anuko first leapt to fame when he hit headlines last year for his instantly memorable scowl.
Whether it is posing with a Pokemon, holding flowers or trying ice cream, he seems thoroughly unimpressed by more or less every situation.
And the pictures have caused a storm on social media, with more than 16,000 people following his exploits on Instagram and 13,000 on Facebook.
The popularity of Anuko has brought a financial windfall for Jasmine. She sells advertising through the site, tagging businesses to posts she uploads on to the sites. The dog has also featured in adverts and worked as a model.
The money has come pouring in and Jasmine has employed an agent to deal with the advertising inquiries. It has become a fun way to bring in money, helping her fund her ambition to travel to Bulgaria to study medicine.
Jasmine has turned her life around after first picking up her pup. It was the mental health benefits that first brought the now inseparable pair together.
At 18, she was suffering with undiagnosed bipolar disorder. She tried to end her life and ended up in hospital, where another patient told her that she might benefit from picking up a dog.
It was something she hadn't considered. Four months later, Jasmine picked up "perfect puppy" Anuko. She said: "It really does help. Dogs are companions for everybody, but they can be used for therapy as well."
