Truck ends up in ditch after removal van blocks Shropshire road
A truck ended up in a ditch after the driver attempted to negotiate around a removal lorry in Shropshire
The accident happened while new owners were moving into a property in the tiny rural community of Seifton Batch, near Craven Arms.
The house in question is down a narrow country road, which meant the removal men had no option but to block the road while they unloaded.
One driver of a Nissan Navara attempted to get around the lorry and almost ended up in a stream that runs alongside the road.
Dennis Baldwin, 69, of Aylesbury-based removal firm Menace Removals, said: "We blocked the road because there was nowhere else for us to go. Once you're unloading you can't really just move it, it's a seven-and-a-half-tonne lorry.
"The driver reversed down the road and went straight over the edge. Nobody else was involved."
"It's one of those incidents we have never come across before."
He said the driver left the scene on foot and was not injured in the accident.
