Shropshire men to appear in upcoming reality TV show
Four men are starting up their own business after being put together for an upcoming TV documentary.
The Golden Boys are set to appear in Baby Ballroom, a documentary following Wolverhampton dancer Warren Bullock.
The show is set to air on 5Star in June and will follow the life of Mr Bullock, who runs Zig Zag dance studios in Wolverhampton.
But it will also feature a group of lads from across Shropshire.
Joe Lockley, 25, from Lawley; Jamie Higgins, 24, from Pattingham; Dave Corfield, 38 from Albrighton and Lee McDonald, 28 from Shifnal will all appear in about three episodes of the series.
They were hand picked to appear in an event being hosted by Mr Bullock – which has since opened up a new opportunity for them.
The four men were picked to attend the event and spray painted gold, filmed for the series throughout.
Joe, who runs Bright Star Boxing, currently based at the David Corfield Gym at Albrighton, said: "Warren used to sue the gym and he needed four lads to attend the event.
"None of us had ever done anything like it before."
Not only were the lads spray painted gold, but they had to mingle with guests, and may even be seen dancing when the show airs.
And the photos have attracted a huge interest on social media and it has launched a new opportunity for the men.
Joe added: "But it has been really popular."
"Now we're being hired for other events and we've made a Facebook page where people can find out more information and book us."
