Thieves try to steal vintage tractor near Ellesmere
An appeal has been launched for witnesses after an attempted theft of a vintage tractor.
It happened in a field in Welshampton, near Ellesmere, on the night of March 31.
Police said the gates to the field where the old vintage model tractor was stored were lifted off their hinges by the would-be thieves who left a tractor battery by the tractor.
No attempt had been made to attach the battery, police said.
