The event is at 7pm, at Charlcotte Farm, Cleobury North, and is sponsored by Madeleys Chartered Surveyors, based in Much Wenlock.

It will raise funds for the Shropshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs' chosen charities for this year - Oak Farm, the Midlands Air Ambulance and Breast Cancer Care.

Oak Farm, in Ditton Priors, is a working farm that operates as a day service for adults with learning disabilities in South Shropshire.

“We wanted one of the charities to be a local organisation that benefits local people and Oak Farm is a great organisation that works with dozens of adults,” said Rebecca Green, the Shropshire YFC county chairman.

“Midlands Air Ambulance is also local and helps hundreds of people every year, and so many people have friends and family members affected by breast cancer that this charity means a lot to young farmers everywhere.”

The annual concert will also see a very special presentation made.

The federation will be officially presented with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service by the Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire, Algernon Heber-Percy.

Following the presentation all 18 clubs from Shropshire YFC will put on a concert for the guests - an extravaganza of singing, dancing, and sketches, based on the theme of “around the world”.

SFYFC is inviting all YFC members past and present, family, friends and members of the public to attend.
