Man charged with Newtown Tesco robbery
A man has been charged with a robbery at a Mid Wales supermarket.
A quantity of money and tobacco were stolen from Tesco supermarket petrol station in Newtown, shortly before 7am on Monday February 19.
Michael Anthony Evans, 34, of Treowen, Newtown, was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been charged by Dyfed-Powys Police.
Evans was due to appear before Welshpool Magistrates Court today.
