£15,000 of jewellery stolen in burglary

£15,000 worth of jewellery has been stolen from a property.

The jewellery, which included what are described as five "one of a kind" gold bangles worth between £2,500 and £4,500, was taken from a property in Newtown sometime between 7.15am and 7.30pm on Friday May 18.

A pair of stud earrings worth around £2,000 were also taken in the burglary.

Dyfed-Powys Police officers believe that the jewellery could have been sold in in either the Shrewsbury or Wrexham areas, and have urged anyone with information about the thefts to come forward.

The force is also investigating a separate burglary in Llanelli, which saw jewellery and around 2,000 US dollars from a property at Cwrt Clara Novello on Monday, May 21.
