Woman, 25, killed in motorcycle crash with 4x4

A woman has died after her motorcycle was involved in a crash with a 4x4.

The crash happened at around 4.25pm on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old woman from Presteigne, Mid Wales, was in the company of two other motorcycle riders after completing a CBT training test.

The woman was riding her Honda CG 125 motorcycle on the B4224 through the village of Hampton Bishop out of Hereford, when she collided with a Honda 4x4 which was travelling in the opposite direction towards the city.

Members of the public, including a retired firefighter, were first on the scene and started first aid and CPR, however her injuries were fatal.

The driver of the 4x4 suffered minor injuries and the road was closed and diversions put in place.

West Mercia Police are now appealing for witnesses for the incident, and have asked them to contact them on 101quoting incident 501s of May 23.
