Officers have been searching for the missing man since a blaze broke out at Belgrave House in Aberystwyth two weeks ago.

Police struggled to locate any relatives and sought help from the Lithuanian Embassy.

Now, after an extensive search, the man's family members have been traced but he has still not been found.

Meanwhile work is continuing to make the seafront hotel building safe so Dyfed-Powys Police and fire officers can enter and investigate how the fire started on July 25.

Last week a 30-year-old man was charged with arson with intent to endanger life over the blaze, which spread to neighbouring buildings in the early hours.

Nine adults and three children were rescued from Belgrave House and the missing man was the only person unaccounted for.
