Ticket holders still waiting festival refunds
Five months has passed since a music festival was cancelled and angry ticket holders are still waiting for their money back.
Fieldbounce Music Festival was due to attract thousands to the town with music fans hoping to see the likes of Scouting for Girls, Dappy and Bez from the Happy Mondays.
However, a month before it was due to take place at Park Hall in Oswestry on May 5, organisers pulled the plug.
A series of small statements have followed from the organisers, however some ticket holders and traders are still waiting for their money to be returned.
People who brought tickets through Event Brite have had refunds.
But many others have not, and last month Action Fraud confirmed they were investigating the festival and organisers.
A month on some have still not seen re-funds, including Lucy Stevens from Shrewsbury.
She purchased two VIP tickets for £123, but has not seen any money back or had any correspondence from the organisers.
She is now off on maternity leave, and says she wants her money back.
She said: "I am just angry and upset at the way it has been handled.
"I went to Osfest a few years ago and enjoyed it, and we believed it was going to be along the similar lines.
"We had one email from organisers when it was first cancelled, and I have tried contacting them four times via email and had nothing.
"Loads of other people are in the same situation.
"I won't be going to smaller festivals anymore because of this, it could damage the reputation of people trying to start up events in the town."
Organisers announced the cancellation through a link on its Twitter biography.
Festival CEO Shawn Melusi claimed in June that only a small number of people are left requiring refunds and everyone will get their money back.
He said: “Everyone will get a refund. There is only a small number of people left to refund and it’s just a matter of when.”
