A man and woman were injured following the road traffic collision at Woodside Roundabout in Madeley, which saw both the fire and ambulance service attend at around 10.30pm.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said the incident involved two saloon cars and resulted in two casualties, who were left in the care of ambulance service.

West Mercia Police said they were called at 10pm but no arrests were made.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said one of the casualties was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson said: " We were called to reports of an RTC on Woodside Roundabout in Madeley, Telford just before 10pm. An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered two cars had been involved in a collision.

"A man was treated by ambulance staff for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Princess Royal Hospital for further treatment. A woman was treated for minor injuries but did not wish to go to hospital so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene."
