The annual remembrance event will take place in Llandrindod Wells on Sunday (November 10), with a poppy appeal fundraiser planned for afterwards.

The parade before the service will begin at the Royal British Legion Club on Tremont Road, with those wishing to take part asked to arrive by 10am.

The parade formation will take place at 10.05 and the parade march to the war memorial for the service and wreath laying will begin at 10.15am.

After the service at the war memorial everyone is invited to return to the legion club after 12pm, where there will be a raffle, poppy bingo and an auction to raise funds for the legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Many wonderful items have been donated by local businesses and individuals and there will be entertainment from Llandrindod Wells Silver Band.

Meanwhile, the Royal British Legion annual poppy appeal coffee morning will take place in Llanwrtyd Wells tomorrow (Saturday, November 9)

It will be held at the Victoria Hall from 10.30am until 12 noon and there will be raffles, cakes, preserved, books and toys.

Organisers are urging everyone to help them to raise more money this year and all of the money raised will go the local poppy appeal account.

There will also be remembrance events in Knighton, Presteigne, Rhayader and Kington.
