Rhys Hilditch, aged 18, careered over the Felton Butler roundabout and ended up in the grass off the A5 at the Nesscliffe bypass.
Before the facts of the case were read at Telford Magistrates Court, chair of the bench Alan Boyd asked Hilditch: “Can you take your hands out of your pockets please?”
The court was told how police were on the scene at the roundabout at around 11pm on April 15 this year after another collision involving a different motorist had happened around 45 minutes earlier.
Hilditch was driving a Peugeot 107 with three passengers when he crashed.
