Teachers, support staff and governors from ten schools came together yesterday for the  3-18 Education Trust's annual staff conference.

The full-day event was a professional development opportunity for staff from across the trust's schools and included a range of workshops and networking sessions.

There were 15 workshops on offer in total, and staff chose their sessions based on their individual career development needs.

Popular sessions included Al Essentials for Schools, Inclusive Leadership, and Teaching and Support Staff Pensions.

A highlight of the conference was a keynote speech by Jaz Ampaw-Farr - one of the UK's most sought-after motivational speakers.

Jaz gave an empowering talk encouraging the delegates to think about becoming "10 per cent braver" in their day-to-day work and lives.

Chief Executive Officer at the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) of primary and secondary schools across Shropshire with a community of over 5,000 students, David O'Toole, said the event was a resounding success.

He said: "It is inspiring to see all our schools represented here today, and to be in the company of so many of our staff community.
