Organiser Carol Corney is encouraging the community to get involved this Saturday and take along any unwanted items to swap them for no cost.
Free drinks and biscuits will be available at the event that starts at 10.30am. Residents are encouraged to go along from the start because ‘once it’s gone, it’s gone’, and the best items don’t last long.
The event has been well-attended by residents of the North Shropshire town during the 14 years that it has been running.
Organiser Carol said: “The idea is that people bring one or two items with them in good condition, and you can then look around and see what you might fancy taking away.
“We have household items, children’s toys and books, adult books, clothing, puzzles and games. This time there will also be a few things for Christmas.
“You don’t have to pay anything, most people will find they have something at home that they don’t really like that they can swap.
“We get lots of people who say ‘oh that’s something that I wanted’. It helps the people in the town.
“I am looking forward to it.”
