Police officers were sent to a bus stop near Tesco in Battlefields, Shrewsbury on Wednesday, October 9, after concerns were raised for the woman's safety.

Officers found Natasha Sudlow, aged 34 and of Toronto Avenue, Shrewsbury, in an 'intoxicated' state, slurring her words and being 'verbally abusive'.

“When police cautioned her she said 'I'm just drunk, why can't you let me go home?',” said prosecutor Sara Beddow.

Telford Magistrates Court heard that the child 'looked upset and scared'.

Ms Beddow said Sudlow, who had pleaded guilty, had gone for drinks with work colleagues from The Shrewsbury Hotel.
