Mr Roberts, a married man who was a carer, was subject of a number of public police appeals after he went missing.

An inquest into his death at Shropshire Coroner’s Court in Shrewsbury on Wednesday was told that Mr Roberts, who lived in Princess Avenue, Chirk, was pronounced dead at the scene after his body was found. Police were satisfied of his identity after finding his driving licence and other documentation on his person.
