The 10-day festival takes place between Friday, November 15 and 24.

Go along to the Neuadd Arms, Stonecroft Inn and Belle Vue, where a wide selection of local thirst-quenchers will be available.

Two iconic events are also held during the course with the festival - the Real Ale Wobble and the Real Ale Ramble.

The Real Ale Wobble, which will take place on Saturday, November 16, has courses for both serious bikers and enthusiastic amateurs.

Whether you are a hardened mountain biker or a fun rider who happens to like a drop of real ale, the event will be right up your street. With courses for both serious bikers and enthusiastic amateurs, anyone can give the event a go.

Routes are waymarked and marshalled, with a checkpoint where refreshments will be available. As you cross the finish line there will be locally brewed real ale waiting for you in exchange of your beer tokens. Water is also available.

The wobble is a non-competitive event and people must enter online to take part.

The Real Ale Ramble is a walking event which takes place on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24.

The ramble begins from the town square and follows any of two waymarked routes of 12 or 20 miles and two guided routes of five and eight miles (Saturday only).

Although the town boasts three hostelries, there are virtually no pubs that you can stop off at for refreshments if you go for a walk in the surrounding countryside. To address this deficiency, organisers have simply created their own beer stops, at the checkpoints along the routes.

There are two or three checkpoints along the way where a choice of Welsh real ales is provided, in exchange for beer tokens issued to you at the walk registration.

There is live entertainment in the pubs on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Meanwhile, stories and songs for a Winter's evening with storyteller David Ambrose will take place on Saturday, November 16.

Midwinter, the darkest time of the year, is a time to come together and shorten the long winter's nights with some heart-warming traditional tales.

The event will take place at Victoria Hall, Llanwrtyd Wells on Saturday, November 16 at 7.30pm and a bar will be available.

Tickets are £7 from LWAS Garage Shop, Caffi Sosban, or on the door.
