Telford International Centre was taken over by hundreds of model enthusiasts this weekend for the return of International Plastic Modellers’ Society (IPMS) 26th annual show.
The IPMS was founded in Great Britain in 1963, and organises the two-day Scale ModelWorld, which claims to be the world’s largest fine-scale modelling show.
The organisation has more than 4,000 members in the UK and previous years have attracted traders from as far as China, Japan, Russia and America.
Once again this weekend it returned to Telford's conference centre, packing out the three halls with more than 120 traders, over 190 club displays, thousands of models, competitions and dozens of talks and demonstrations.
Members build everything from basic kits to complicated scratch-built models, generally using plastic, although 3D printing, resin, and etched and cast metal are also well represented.
Many IPMS members meet on a regular basis to share their knowledge and the fun of scale modelling. There are over 110 local IPMS Branches scattered about Great Britain, as well as internet-based, virtual branches.
