Man injured and two arrested as armed police rush to report of assault near south Shropshire school
Two people have been arrested after armed police responded to an incident near a school in Cleobury Mortimer this morning.

Residents of Cleobury Mortimer reported an increased police presence after an incident near to The Lacon Childe School on Love Lane on Tuesday morning.
Police, including armed officers, were called to the road at around 11.35am following a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers found one man to have suffered a head injury.
Two people, a man and a woman, have since been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "We were called to Love Lane in Cleobury Mortimer at around 11.35am today (Tuesday, November 12), following a report of an assault.
"Officers have attended and one man was found to have minor head injury.
"A 58-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of assault and suspicion of possession of a firearm. They are both currently in police custody."
Posting on Facebook about the incident, Shropshire Police said that officers would remain in the area for "several hours" but reassured residents that the incident was now over.
They said: "You may have been made aware or have been sent posts on social media regarding an incident and an increased police presence including armed officers in Cleobury Mortimer.
"The incident was contained within a short area and an arrest has been made. There will be further officers in the area for several hours whilst evidence is sought and documented. There is no risk to the wider public and this incident is now over."
